Since 2009, Phoenix Youth Ballet Theatre has provided cultural outreach in the Phoenix community encouraging a love of dance, ballet history and performance. Phoenix Youth Ballet Theatre presents an annual production of “The Nutcracker Suite” and a Spring Ballet concert either as classical repertory or an original contemporary work.

PYBT students have the opportunity to perform with professional guest artists from around Arizona as well as participate in master class training from professionals from companies such as, American Ballet Theatre, Shaping Sound Dance Company and Ballet Arizona.

Phoenix Youth Ballet Theatre’s success and program funding relies on our community support, fundraising, grants and volunteers. Revenue from ticket sales accounts for less than 50% of our annual operating costs. We welcome donations starting at $15 and we appreciate our supporters of all levels. Donations can be made by check or credit card, at time of performance ticket purchase or through our GoFundMe program online.

Your donation is tax deductible and receipt is sent to you immediately upon donation. Donations apply toward our general operating budget that provides scholarship to our students, production equipment such as backdrops and fog machines, professional guest artist fees, costume repair and theater rental.

OUR MISSION

ELEVATE the love and respect for the arts in the Phoenix community by connecting our youth with professional productions and professional guest artists.

ENGAGE Phoenix youth through dance, physical activity and an overall human connection to inspire social acceptance. Providing and arts and humanities experience for children across levels of ability and socioeconomic backgrounds.

ENCOURAGE community service and cultural development while teaching young dancers self-confidence, manners and respect for peers.

Our goal is to provide dance education, costumes, sets and preparation for each full length story ballet to children at a minimal cost. Starting in 2015, PYBT has expanded our community outreach to local organizations to provide dance and theater opportunities to children with special needs. To achieve this goal we rely on fundraising activities, sponsorship from the community and performance ticket sales.
